SiteMinder named a Deloitte Technology Fast 50 winner for fourth year running

  Posted in Press Releases

Sydney, Australia – The global hotel industry’s leading provider of online distribution and direct booking technology, SiteMinder, has been announced a Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Australia winner for the fourth consecutive year to further cement its position as one of the country’s top, and rapidly-growing, innovative companies.

The announcement – which follows a record year in nominations – now places SiteMinder and all other winners on the shortlist for the Asia Pacific Technology Fast 500 program.

SiteMinder Co-Founder and CEO Mike Ford says: “SiteMinder is delighted to be listed among the country’s most successful technology companies. The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program highlights that innovation is very much alive and entrenched in the booming technology hub of Sydney, and can truly thrive to global standards.

“For SiteMinder, the past year has been a milestone year of growth. We now have more than 200 distribution channel partners and 14,000 hotel customers globally, with more than 70 percent of those customers located in Europe and the Americas. Our rapid expansion continued this year as we opened our newest office in Dallas, US, to cater for the localised needs of our global markets.”

Founded in 2006, SiteMinder offers ground-breaking, cloud-based products to help hotels increase their online revenue, streamline their business processes and lower their operational costs. Its open technology suite – which includes the world’s largest channel manager, a customisable booking engine, deep hotel system integration and global distribution system connection tools – facilitated a combined US$7.4 billion in revenue and more than 18 million reservations for hotels worldwide over the 12 months ending 30 June 2014. The growth was again led by RDX – the company’s enterprise connectivity platform – which enabled US$4.2 billion in booking revenue for hotels over the prior 12-month period ending 30 June 2013.

In January, the company received $33 million funding from U.S.-based Technology Crossover Ventures to form one of the largest single investments in an Australian-based technology category leader.

SiteMinder’s ranking on the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 list, and the rankings of all winning companies, will be revealed at a gala ceremony in Sydney on 13 November.
